bridge only emulates IMAP/SMTP, not carddav or caldav. so thunderbird can’t do contacts or calendar
no bridge on mobile. have to use their apps
no way to integrate contacts into a phone’s dialer
vpn software doesn’t provision local SOCKS5. I need SOCKS to have some firefox profiles use or not use the vpn, and for proxy switchy omega
port forwarding only gives one port that changes every time you connect
proton drive doesn’t sync phone photos to disks. they just sit in the web interface
proton drive doesn’t even have a text editor
no linux client for proton drive. have to use rsync and hope it works
no joplin integration. joplin devs complained that they didn’t make it easy
password manager still isn’t as good as keepassxc
I can get better service by combining these things from multiple lesser known providers, pay less money, not have all my eggs in one basket, and not feel like I’m sitting on ground zero of a government attack.
