"Is using guitar plugins cheating?"
This was my response: (1/2)
Cheating = dishonesty.
Cheating would be paying a fivver musician to record a part for you and then claiming in your song description or in your 'marketing' that you played it.
Cheating would be using any instrument VST plugin to 'build' a midi performance, but claiming that you recorded that part live on a real instrument.
