Most senior researchers spend a considerable amount of time with language editing of manuscripts from students and other co-workers, in particular from non-native speakers. Being a non-native English speaker myself, this can be sometimes difficult. Is anyone aware of any institutes or universities that have professional language editors? What are the pros and cons of this? I have the feeling that this could balance out the disadvantage that non-native speakers have.
