OMG! Apple may be reviving the discontinued 12" Macbook form factor, at a low price and with an M-series CPU (to compete with high performance Chromebooks):

I loved my 12" Macbook (it hit the sweet spot for portability and size) but didn't love the short battery life and gutless Celeron M (or the single USB-C port, although we have decent hubs with pass-through charging these days). An M1/M2 with 16Gb/256Gb (or more) would be perfect for me.
