Many hospitals I work in have a policy that for a few days after returning from a SARS-CoV2 infection they need to wear a fit-tested respirator as source control whilst at work.
This recognition of respirators’ utility as source control should be considered to help reduce nosocomial transmission from staff of other pathogens found in the respiratory tract.
