That fact is, that the electricity price is negative in the UK when the wind blows.
In order to make the existing wind investment effective, there would need to be a huge investment in battery technology. So far this hasn't happened.
The Labour governments plans to quadruple the wind capacity in the UK with no plan to increase the batter storage capacity is lunacy.
