I enjoy his books but have to constantly remind myself that he's an unreliable narrator. Like in Talking To Strangers he argues that rape culture is a product of college alcohol culture because people who get black out drunk in other cultures don't have problems with rape... Which is not even a coherent argument. But there's also an interesting overview of how we expect certain facial and bodily expressions and that's usually a bad way to go through life. So 🤷🏽♀️
