Antisemitism as we have it now comes from early Christian speakers who accused Jews of conspiring to change the Old Testament. They did alter small passages in ways that seem polemical against Christianity, but funnily enough, Christians (and their antecedents in Alexandrian Judaism) did so 10x more, easily. They were both changing shit all the time and grew a bitter hatred for it that continues to this day.
The rivalry spilled outside of the Judeo-Christian dispute because jews developed an entire worldview in the following diaspora where the host nation they reside in is always an enemy, and they don't care what your faith is.
