Tyke the elephant was captured in Zimbabwe and brought to the United States to work in a circus. In Honolulu in 1994, after 20 years of captivity, Tyke killed her trainer and broke through an arena fence and quickly headed for the exit. She chased clowns and trainers, flipped cars, and then broke out into the streets to escape slavery.
