This afternoon, someone smashed a car window and stole whatever was on the seat, right outside my apartment window. In the 10 seconds it took me to walk over to the window to see what the noise was about, they were already gone.

Thanks for the two minutes of car alarm afterward, though. That was super helpful.

Car alarms do even less to prevent crime than cops do.
