The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority has emphasized the importance of installing fire alarm devices in all establishments, considering their role in protecting lives and public and private property, and reducing response time. Captain Tarik Al-Kandi, a member of the search and rescue team at the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, stated: "Here, the role of fire alarm devices comes into play, which inform experts through the initial warning of the civil defense, and also enable individuals to become aware and alert of a fire risk, especially when sleeping." He pointed out that the available devices vary according to the buildings, which include smoke detectors, heat detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and gas detectors, explaining that the devices differ depending on the establishments, public or private institutions. He added that the system in institutions is larger than in homes, indicating that the available devices include fire, smoke, and heat detectors, linked to initial firefighting equipment until the arrival of firefighting teams. The devices in homes are simpler, explained to alert firefighting teams and residents in the home of a fire, and to evacuate the home as quickly as possible. He emphasized that most people tend to neglect installing fire alarm devices in bedrooms, but we stress that it is necessary to install them in areas or rooms in the home, including the living room, living room, bedrooms in general, and storage areas where flammable materials are stored. Regarding the smoke detector, he explained that it senses general air currents, but in the event of a fire, it will trigger an alarm in the home, and a message will be sent to the control room of the civil defense, and then to the relevant center, and the owner of the home will be notified that there is an alarm in the home, and he will inform the civil defense that the alarm may be from smoke or fire. He added: "If this alarm is triggered at night, we do not take into account the possibility of a smoke detector malfunction, and in all cases, whether the alarm is triggered by smoke or a simple smoke, our response team will be dispatched, and while en route, we will contact the owner of the home, which helps us in quick response and the protection of lives and property, and determining the location in any area or street, which helps us to provide a quick guide to the moving team to perform their task perfectly."
