Agreed, except don't underestimate the power of Prime next or even same day delivery.
I try to buy independently whenever possible, but I don't think I've ever had a satisfactory delivery experience outside of Amazon. Not just speed, but quality.
UPS, the post office, DHL or independents all have quirks that make the experience bad.
They may phone for directions, or force me to wait in for a signature or even fail to deliver the product at all.
I ordered an Umbrel home node. I knew this was coming from the US, so expected a long delivery, however 2 weeks after an adequate delivery I received a letter through the post from Fed-Ex asking me to pay a 50 GBP invoice for import duty. This was the first I knew this was going to happen.
