We can’t be using an unsustainable platform to onboard. Wallet of Satoshi is much better for onboarding. Yes it’s custodial but that’s fine for playing around with a few sats on LN.
Phoenix is a good in-between but I think Blixt Wallet is probably the best option for most people. It is a full LND node on your phone and allows you to open your own channels but you can also just use the default automatic channel fine too.
