Why the United States is fighting electrification, renewables, and true energy independence is just beyond me.
I mean, I know it's because of the very rich oil lobby trying to hold on to their power and wealth, but... I don't understand why anyone other than an oil baron would let Trump turn them against EVs and solar and wind energy.
One investment (plus some maintenance, yes) gives you free energy for half the day. No reliance on middle east, no complicated trade routes, no bothering with this kind of oil needing that kind of refinery which only Russia processes, no surprises in supply, no demand spikes for sunlight or wind.
Just, like, buy it, put it on a bit of land, and it gives almost free energy. And Trump has made people HATE it. Baffling.
Energy independence would be HUGE for the United States' national security. But politicians have to make their money and propagandize to do so.
