Many things in life help to prepare us for the things yet to come. You’ve obviously had at least one past experience that caused you to write your post. I’ve taken a road similar to you in this regard. Getting emotional never goes away, but what you do with that feeling is what you need to focus on. This can be said for how you react to many situations in life. Can you recognize and arrest that “trigger happy psychopath” feeling?
It’s a battle you can win.
