I’ve been in Thailand for a little over a month now. I ventured out here to play football as well as to explore the country with my girlfriend.
I think it’s safe to say Thailand has quickly become one of my favorite countries in the world! Bangkok, where I stayed for the first few weeks, is a busy but beautiful city, buzzing with energy, and blending the sacred Buddhist temples with the stimulating, modern malls. Chiang Mai, my personal favorite thus far, is captivating, combining culture with cuisine, and calming and less chaotic compared to Bangkok. And Phuket, where I’m staying now, is a paradise, with peaceful beaches, and plentiful parties and night life.
But what has been the most amazing for me here in Thailand outside of experiencing the many wonders this country has to offer, has been the Thai people and their hospitality. Thai people are some of the most genuinely kind people I have ever met! And none of their kindness comes from expecting something back, it’s true kindness coming from a place of love and selflessness.
I will go into more depth of my experiences coming to Thailand for the first time after I depart, but if you are on the edge of deciding whether or not to come to Thailand, I would say, “Do it!!”
